Updated designs for Bungendore High School



9 July 2022 - In response to submissions made to the State Significant Development Application process for the Bungendore High School, the Department of Education have made some modifications to the design.


"Those design modifications will include, but not be limited to:

  • ensuring the original town street grid, along Majara Street (between Gibraltar Street and Turallo Terrace) is visually maintained within the new school precinct

  • providing additional formalised car parking along Turallo Terrace

  • minimising works on Bungendore Park, including removing the proposed post-rail delineation around Mick Sherd Oval

  • reducing the scale of buildings, including through the relocation of council services from the school site to a separate location within Bungendore

  • changes to the types and mixture of materials used in the facades to tie into the heritage narrative within the precinct. An overview of the latest design influenced by feedback is provided below. More details will be shared soon and as part of DPE’s public exhibition process. This updated design may continue to evolve."
