Welcome to the Bungendore High School Principal

7 April 2022 - BHSAG is delighted that Melissa Giddins has joined the Bungendore community and will be taking on the key leadership role as Principal of the new Bungendore High School. Ms Giddins’ focus is "to ensure every student at Bungendore High School will be known, valued and cared for, with opportunities and support to achieve excellence."

In a recent Bungendore Public School newsletter, the Principal included more information on the high school.

‘The NSW Department of Education is committed to the new school being open on day one of term one, next year. The school will open initially with only years 7 and 8 for 2023. Enrolments open in Term 2….

The Department has commenced consultation with the community regarding the intake areas for all schools…. It is anticipated that the Department will be in a position to provide information back to the community early in May 2022 to enable enrolment procedures to take place.’

BHAG’s has recently reached 1000+ followers on Facebook. Thank you to everyone who has gotten behind our efforts. It is because of you that our wonderful community is finally getting a much-needed high school! We are looking forward to seeing our local children stay in their own community for high school next year.
