Be engaged: NSW School Infrastructure has conducted information hubs and online surveys. The community also had the opportunity to provide input via the State Significant Development Application process. The new Bungendore High School Principal is also conducting surveys both in person with incoming students and via online surveys.

Be informed: We encourage you to seek accurate information about the proposed plans for both the primary and high school developments in Bungendore. You can do this by visiting the Department of Education’s website. We also recommend visiting the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council’s website for useful information on how the proposed changes will impact local community facilities. Keep up to date: On 25 January 2023, the State Significant Development Application was approved. In June 2022, the Department of Education acquired their chosen site, released an updated design based on community feedback during the State Significant Development Application process. It is this design, with minor changes to increase parking, that was approved. The new Principal Melissa Giddins and her team are preparing to welcome the first intake of year 7 and 8 students on 31 January 2023. The school will initially start in temporary facilities on the Bungendore primary school oval. For the immediate future BHSAG will endeavour to keep the community informed of any updates on the build. You can follow us on Facebook.
